Before it starts

Apple’s “Pro and Tell” event is Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT) in Los Angeles. It’s an invitation-only media event, MacRumors reports, so there may be no public livestream. Expect announcements to arrive as press releases on Apple’s newsroom, with Canadian prices on apple.com/ca. We’ll follow both and post updates here.

What’s expected (all reports, nothing confirmed by Apple):

  • Touchscreen MacBook Pro. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman expects 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros with OLED touchscreens and a Dynamic Island in place of the notch, per MacRumors. He says they could cost up to $500 USD (about $700 CAD) more than the current models, which would stay on sale for now.
  • More Macs. Bloomberg also expects an M6 base MacBook Pro and a new iMac, possibly announced separately, iPhone in Canada reports.

Apple has already started its week: Monday brought the new iPad mini, from $949 in Canada, with pre-orders opening Wednesday at 1:10 p.m. ET. Apple marketing chief Greg Joswiak said on X that it was the start of an exciting week.

What we’ll add here: Canadian prices, pre-order and ship dates, and anything that’s missing in Canada or Quebec, each confirmed on Apple’s Canadian pages.
